Call for Papers
The key theme of the Vietnam’s Business, Economics & Resources Conference (VBER2023) is “Nextgen Symposium: For The Future Of Young Researchers In Vietnam”. The Vietnam’s Conference on Business, Economics & Resources 2023 (VBER2023) is particularly organised for junior researchers under 30 years old – the next generation of Vietnamese scholars. The Conference also offers researchers the unique opportunity to present their research findings, extend their research network, and have their work discussed by distinguished academics.
Potential topics may include the following areas: (i) Business including Finance, Accounting, Management, Banking, Marketing, Auditing; (ii) Economics including Public Economics, International & Regional Economics, Environmental Economics and others; and (iii) Resources including Natural Resources and Human Resources including Energy and Agriculture.
Keynote Speakers
The VBER2023 warmly welcomes Dr Burkhard Schrage from the RMIT University Vietnam. Dr Burkhard Schrage is a senior academic, business leader, and former investment banker. Born and raised in Germany, he studied and worked in France, the United States, Brazil and Singapore before moving to Vietnam 10 years ago. His rich past and present industry experience influences his teaching and research, which focuses on strategic management, corporate governance and the political economy.
The VBER2023 also invites Professor Mark Loo from Concordia University of Edmonton, Canada to deliver a keynote speech. Prof. Mark Loo has over 20 years of international sales and marketing experience in diverse industries including office automation, multilevel marketing, advertising and training consultancy. Prof. Loo was admitted as Fellow of the Academy of Marketing Sciences in 2000, and holds trainer certification with the American Management Association and Tack Training UK. Currently, he is the Chair of Education in the Alberta Chapter Board of Directors of the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association.
Young Researchers Forum @ VBER2023

- 12 papers from young scholars are to be accepted.
- The generous allowance of VND 5.0 million are provided for accepted and presented papers at the Forum.
- Additional support and guidance to improve the papers leading to publications in the SSCI and/or Scopus-indexed international journals led by Dr Duc Hong Vo & other experts.
This session is unique and it is generally considered as a flagship session to VBER Conference series. Led by world class professors, the keynote speakers of VBER2023 Conference, young and talented local Vietnamese researchers share their own experience to complete their PhD studies overseas and to conduct independent researches to get them published in highly regarded international journals.
